WHO WE ARE

OUR VISION

Our vision is to create a world where work is recognized as worship by partnering with communities and church leaders to address unemployment by creating strategies using available resources, facilitating prayer and sharing, and recording and sharing transformative experiences to accelerate meaningful employment and empower individuals to achieve fulfilling careers.

OUR MISSION

Our mission is to spread the gospel through purposeful work, transforming the church from a building into a dynamic movement by empowering churches to minister to the unemployed, elevating unemployment through accountability and coaching, fostering partnerships between well-resourced and under-resourced churches, and promoting holistic discipleship through meaningful work.

OUR STORY

Siyabulela Nana and Ron Begbie started Izenzo’s journey in the heart of the Eastern Cape Province, where they partnered churches grappling with overwhelming unemployment —some as high as 100%. With years of experience in working with materially impoverished communities, Siyabulela and Ron saw this not as a challenge, but as a calling to develop strategies to empower these churches and break the cycle of inertia.

Their efforts ignited a renewed sense of purpose among both the young and old, inspiring them to envision more fulfilled lives where work could glorify God. By working hand in hand with church leaders to develop strategies and programs, many of which were established by the churches themselves, they significantly reduced unemployment rates, transforming lives and communities.

The success was not just in the numbers, but in the lives touched and the communities revitalized—where hope was restored and dreams were reignited.

STRATEGIC GOALS

Our strategic plan is to facilitate the acquisition of entry-level jobs for job club members while providing limited in-house administration support for those in need.

At Izenzo, our strategic plan for unemployment has 3 objectives:

01

Help unemployed individuals discover their calling and find a fulfilling career by exploring their skills, interests, and passions, while providing the support and guidance needed to achieve this goal.

02

Help job seekers secure and thrive in employment through accountability, coaching, support, and networking opportunities, providing ongoing assistance to help overcome challenges in the workforce.

03

Help aspiring entrepreneurs start survivalist businesses to generate income and sustain their livelihoods while they search for employment, by providing training, support, and ongoing assistance to manage the business and overcome challenges.

OUR PRINCIPLES

Accountability: We stand as an anchor of accountability

Responsibility: We take ownership of our commitments

Support: We stand by those we serve

Self-Motivation: We empower individuals to take charge

Freedom: We believe in creating opportunities that lead to independence
